Welcome to Approvalbox! This guide will help you get started with the basics and have your first project up and running in minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

If you haven't already, sign up for Approvalbox. You can start with our free plan - no credit card required.

After signing up, you'll be taken to your dashboard where you can create your first project.

Step 2: Create a Project

Projects are containers for your assets and approvals. To create one:

  • Click the New Project button in your dashboard
  • Give your project a name (e.g., "Summer Campaign")
  • Add an optional description
  • Click Create Project
Tip: Use clear, descriptive names for your projects. Your team will thank you!

Step 3: Upload Your First Asset

Now let's add some content to review:

  • Open your project
  • Click Upload or drag files directly into the window
  • Wait for the upload to complete

Approvalbox supports images, videos, PDFs, and many other file types. See our supported file types guide for the full list.

Step 4: Invite Your Team

Collaboration is at the heart of Approvalbox:

  • Click the Share button in your project
  • Enter email addresses of team members
  • Choose their role (Viewer, Reviewer, or Admin)
  • Click Send Invitations

Invited members will receive an email with a link to join your project.

Step 5: Leave Your First Comment

Try leaving feedback on an asset:

  • Click on an asset to open it
  • Click anywhere on the asset to drop a pin
  • Type your comment
  • Press Enter or click Post

Your comment is now attached to that exact location!
